Pizza Train

On Saturday, we took off on the Monon Train for 45 minutes to a small town north of Indy to have pizza!!! It was so fun. We went with our neighbor and friends who live across the street. They have a little boy 6 months older than the P! We rode the train to the town, took the school bus to pizza king, then sat in the fire trucks at the fire station!! What an awesome day!!!

Glimpses of Heaven...

It's a little uncomfortable for me to share so vulnerably over the Internet, but I felt quite prompted today to share my most recent glimpse of heaven in my life. I know we sense it from time to time when we see it in our loved ones, or something God does for us beyond our imagination.
For me, I see glimpses, when a loved one dies. I've had quite a few people dear to me in my life pass away. Just recently Jason's Grandpa passed away after living a long wonderful life. Around the time he passed away, I knew I was 5 weeks pregnant. At 10 weeks, we found out through an ultrasound that the baby had stopped developing at 5 weeks and could not detect a heart beat. I then had a miscarriage three days later.
In the midst of the roller coaster of emotions and hormones, God has been so close through prayers answered, people who have empathetically extended comfort and support, and just sensing His peace. In the midst of it all, I've stopped to think about what this looks like for my sweet little one. So I thought I would share my glimpse of heaven.
Even though we didn't know when our little one had entered the gates of heaven, I know Jesus was there. I know He took that baby in His arms. After loving all over that baby, He then passed her right to my Great Grandmother, Mammaw we liked to call her. Oh now if anyone is going to hog this baby in heaven it will be my Mammaw. I am sure she's already picking out the frilliest most beautiful outfits for that baby just like she did for me every Easter.
And then I think that baby has been held non-stop. I mean ya know how they say don't hold your baby too much you might spoil her...lots of spoiling going on. I am sure my Dad's sister Marlene has cradled her, and my Dad's Dad-Grandpa Keller too. I know Jason's Grandparents are so pleased to have a baby Pongratz to love all over too. And then there will be a baby cousin from my Dad's side of the family that this baby will play with. And many many more we know and may not even know. I believe it!!!
I am sure they are sharing stories of his/her Daddy and Mommy and telling how much we miss them all. So until the day that I get to hold my sweet little one in my arms, I'll rest with knowing she/he's in the BEST HANDS in my glimpse of heaven.

One of The P's play outfits...

Fully equipped to work in the yard, ride a horse or swim in the lake!!

I am SO PROUD of my brother!!!

Everybody knows my brother Andy has the best gig in town!!!!!! So Andy let us use his badge to get around Lucas Oil for the tour on Sunday!! What a cool experience!! Jason thought he was the king. There were "guards" everywhere only letting ticket holders go in certain places and when Jason flashed Andy's badge they would apologize and say, "Oh go ahead!". So we went everywhere and had a ball!! Thanks Andy!! We had the best time, because of you!!!We went up to the press box through a glass elevator and looked out over the field! It was pretty cool to see their view of things!
I loved the carpet up the press box. I had to take a picture. Yep, the locker room showers ;)! I had to do it!JP in front of a locker...notice the badge...uh huh!! Pretty cool!!

On the field where the colts run through...The opening of the roof!!
I liked this picture of Jay looking out over the stadium.
This is a view from Andy's seats...real nice!!
It's going to be a super fun year for the colts and fans!!

Great Memories of State Fair '08!

We went to the state fair on the train Wednesday with Uncle Scotty and Aunt Erin and cousins Tyler and Conner!! We really have some great memories at the Fair. It was such a fun time this year too!! The kids had so much fun riding the rides together. We ate lots and had lots of fun on the train ride too. Mr. Conductor was not exactly "chatty cathy" but willing to take a pic with the kids ;)!
Learning about Indiana's prized crop...

The princess had herself a corn dog and LOVED it!!! Jason said he had the best sausage he's ever had this year and I ate a yummy steak sandwich. We ended the day with ice cream from the dairy barn and an elephant ear!! We enjoyed ourselves!!

The kids passed the height test and rode their first roller coaster together!!! Daddy was with the princess and Tyler was right behind!! How fun!!
This was the best ride...the truck roller coaster. They let them ride for like 5 minutes and they would just giggle together. We'd wander what they were laughing so hard at together.
Watchin' the parade of tractors missing ND!

Train ride home...what a fun experience!!!!!!

Conner didn't get to ride rides this year, but he will next year!! He loves his princess and is giving her lots of lovin'!!

Tired princess with her Uncle Scotty!!

Aweee...Aunt Erin!!!

They had a guy play guitar and sing songs on the way home. The kids loved it!! Uncle Scotty sang right a long too!! It was hilarious!!

Tired Mommy and Daddy had lots of fun and reminisced of one of our first dates together on the fair train to the fair 6 years ago!! We look forward to what God has in store for our future memories at the Indiana State Fair!! Life is so good!!!

TOTONKA!!!

Gosh I miss it up there!! Home away from home!!!!

Veggie Tales anyone?

We went to the free Veggie Tales movie at the Regal this week with fun cousins Tyler and Conner. This pose lasted about 5 minutes, then we distributed snacks to last the day to keep the busy bodies somewhat tame. It was really fun to have the kids experience the Movies together though!!
